WE HAVE A LOT TO OFFER OUR MEMBERS!!!!
Midwest Racing consists of mostly late
model American Made muscle cars, but all American Made 4,6,8 and larger
displacement vehicles are welcome.
We are a club dedicated to American
family values and
we try to plan our events and activities so everyone
feels welcome! We feel we have a
lot more family style events to offer than most other clubs and we
hope you will find this to be an attractive proposition. We are not your
average "Gear Head" type of club that hangs-out at McDonalds. In
addition to track meets, we participate in well organized car shows and cruise
nights throughout the Northwest Suburbs.
We never leave anyone broken down on the side of the road, and we will
do everything possible to get you home. We will be there with you until help
arrives. With us, you're just one of the family and we do whatever we can to
help each other out. Specially, in times of need!
We are an active club year round! Our club sponsored activities include camping trips in the summer, club picnics, the end of racing season party, and a killer Christmas bash! Other activities are planned on a month to month basis and are paid for by those who choose to go. Optional club activities may include trips to Great America, the Zoo, or a weekend ski trip over the winter. Also, we are active in many community car shows and cruise nights. Any chance we get to show off our stuff, we take it!

Qualifications for membership are as follows:
-At least 19 years of age.
-An American Made Car or Truck in decent condition that you would be willing to enter in local car shows, cruise nights, and be race worthy at the drag strip. Your car must be able to pass tech inspection by track personal..
-An adult orientated mind set and a desire to have fun in a safe and respectable manner.
-A willingness to commit about 20 days a year to club meetings and drag strip dates.
Real Drag Racing
Racing is done on a points system with a bracket style start. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in points. There is also a trophy presented to the member who has the best reaction time for the season. Everyone makes two practice passes and your times are then averaged and posted on your side window. The tower then splits the tree in order to give the slower car a head start. The winner is the first racer to cross the finish line. We allow a .2 second "breakout" rule to discourage any "Sandbagging". We have found that this system works well, and keeps the racing fair no matter the size of your engine.

(Trophies will be presented to the winners at the club's "End of Season" party.)
Club Events - Paid for by Midwest Racing
1. Christmas Party including a club sponsored buffet and three hours of open bar with no limits!
2. Four days of camping trip in the Wisconsin Dells at the all inclusive Holiday Shores Camping Resort! Water and electric are included with every site. Boating, hiking, an in-ground pool, a sand beach, and a playground for the kiddies. Clean showers and air conditioned bathrooms are also on site, along with a fully equipped store near by for those things you forgot. Live entertainment every weekend and Fire truck rides for the kids! This is a great mini vacation and Midwest Racing pays for all camp site fees!
3. Memorial Day Picnic including Beers, Brats, Burgers, and more. Fun for the entire family!
4. "End of Race Season Party" including beer and pizza!

**All trips are planned by the membership, and sometimes do change. We are a "year round", club so we are always looking for new ways to keep our members active. During the wintertime off-season, we try to meet at least once a month for what we call "Stay Tight Saturday Night". These are little gatherings for whatever members feel like getting together.**

What does being a part of our family cost?
As with many other clubs, there are dues, and we collect $20.00 a month at each meeting. New members pay $20.00 which will cover both your windshield decal and first month of membership. If you have read down this far, I'm sure that you can see where your money goes. If you decide to join us, we don't feel you'll be disappointed!
All the money that goes into the club, is used for the club.
